About Me

I started as a baby.

Born in Jacksonville, Florida, I got off to a pretty weird start. As far back as I can remember, I was obsessed with company logos, special effects, audio recording and making stuff. Learning how to make something was always more interesting to me than simply consuming it. Since then, not much has changed–except I can't find that damned dog pillow anywhere.

Then I grew up.

These days I love working with amazing minds to bring great concepts to life. Having learned many lessons the hard way, I'll likely continue to do that. What worked really well last time might not work so well this time, which is why I prefer to ideate as a team, test hypothesis, and validate assumptions. Ultimately, all things creative are really just communication–and if we're not listening, we're just talking. But enough about work.

Icebreaker Fun Facts

I've lived in 7 cities across 6 states.

In the last 10 years I've been a bit of a nomad. From NYC to the Bay Area, and a few spots in between. I've finally landed in Salt Lake City, and I love it.

I beat Tim Tebow in a foot race. Twice.

Our parents were friends. We were not. He challenged me to a race, so I ate a PowerBar and beat him. A few weeks later, I did it again.

I went to a Christmas party with Elton John.

Ok, I didn't go "with" him, but he was there. A woman invited me to her home for the party when I was 17 years old. Elton played Christmas songs.

I have never seen those Star Wars movies.

People always ask "how have you never watched Star Wars?" My answer is always: "it's harder to watch a movie than it is to not watch it."
